From the last few days, Chennai has been facing heavy rains – The rains which broke 100 year old records and the result is Floods which are affecting both men and material in many areas of the city. People’s homes are filled with water, the flights and trains have been cancelled and almost 300 people have died so far.

Well are you ready to help Chennai People in this tough time ? Here are some of the ways you can do that –

1 . Provide Shelter to the needy ones:-

As told many people’s houses have been all filled with water to 1st Floor and they have been left homeless. So in case you live in Chennai and can support them by providing some kind of temporary shelter, then –

Lookup App is a startup which has found a unique way to help flood victims. Through this app, you can request the items you want to donate to be picked up from your address. The Lookup Team will arrive at your location and deliver at affected areas. All this comes with no cost !!

The app LookUp has collaborated with the volunteer-organisation Bhumi to coordinate donation pick-ups.

5. Social Media:-

Social Media has really been a boom during the tough times in our country.

People come together to help the needy ones on twitter.

If you can help in any way, then use hashtag #ChennaiRainsHelp and can offer or request shelter and aid.
